Michelle graduated cum laude from the Research Master Art and Visual Culture at the Radboud University, Nijmegen, the Netherlands. She was selected for the Young Excellent Scholar Research Programme at CEDLA (Centre for Latin American Research and Documentation).

Since 2011 she works as a coordinator of contemporary art projects, alternating production tasks with those related to communication/PR. Michelle collaborated with institutions such as: the Royal Academy of Art, the Hague; Creative Industries Fund NL, Rotterdam; Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam; Goldsmiths, University of London; and SKOR | Foundation for Art and Public Domain, Amsterdam. Next to her freelance work, she is responsible for PR/Acquisition at NEXT architects, an international architecture practice with offices in Amsterdam and Beijing.

As a researcher she is interested in the active role of art —performance art in particular— within our current social, political and cultural context.
